Found this excellent explanation of the VICTORY model Man of War, with working/moving details.

As a starter I found it very interesting, explaning the names of ship's parts and visualize their functioning.

It includes an index for easy reference.

Great video. In addition, I have the translation of the marine terms in English.... Thank you very much.

That Victory breakdown is a solid watch, especially the way it names each part while showing what actually moves. I kept pausing to match the rigging terms to what I’m seeing on my own build, and it finally made the layout click. weirdly, while looking for reference images i hit a sketchy “free cash” page at https://nodepositau.com/free-cash and it felt totally out of place compared to proper modeling resources. Thanks for sharing the one with the index; it makes it easy to jump back to the sections you need.
The index by parts is a godsend for beginners. Have you tried something similar in Blender for your project? If so, how do you handle rigging—do you use curves/bezier or armature? I'd love to see your version, if you have renders. Thanks for the link!

Sorry Mark,
I have Blender, but use it very seldom. I am historically interested in the ship building technics and stick to model-building with wooden elements, just by hand (and a Dremel, of course).
But I'm amazed by some of the Blender-like presentations, making plans and ancient shipwrecks visual and revealing structural details beyond the simple view.
So, no curves/bezier help from my end, but surely a lot of others might jump into that request ......

Hi Mark
Where is the index, I could find one? Thanks!

Interesting that air ducts were shown but I have not been able to find information about these. Does anyone have any information on these?
Thanks
Allan
