In the late 80’s I purchased the Bluenose II (Artesania Latina) from Model Expo. I intended to build it when I retire. I looked at a couple of times.
In December of 2022 I purchased the Hoga Pearl Harbor Tug. Starting working on it March 2023. I have the hull done., working on other wood based assembly items.
I am full time caregiver to my dad, so time is limited.
My dad is diabetic, looking at the lancets on day it occur to me to cut away a bit of the plastic to make the needle longer and use it to pin the strips on the hull. I first soak the strips in hot water using a PVC pipe, then when pliable I use the lancets to pin. I leave the plastic top on so that the tip of my finger does get punctured. I wait to dry, then glue and pin again. It worked for me.

Welcome to SoS. Hope all is well for you on the Island this winter. I remember some rough ones back in the day when I was at Kings Point.

Hi Paul a good shipmodeler’s name. Welcome to the best, friendliest and most helpful ship modeling forum in the world.
Love to see photos of your work. Perhaps start a build log to allow others to follow your adventures.
Greetings from the great southern land.
