Kit Review About Lumber Yard kits

i never saw a review and i am the guy who makes them. Maybe because they are not actually a kit they are more like a semi-scratch built project
there are a few models here on the forum built from the timbering sets you can review

The stuff from Lumberyard in my opinion is top notch. I have two in my possession and about to order number three.
The wood quality is excellent and Dave makes sure you get what you pay for.
I’ve never had a reason to complain.
In fact I’m elated with his products.
What I have to do now is dig in and start the builds.

Thank you. It's an interesting formula but I have no idea of what I will find inside the packing case.
Maybe you could make such a kind of presentation of your products, it could help to broaden the interest on this kind of modeling.

to do a product review of your own product seems odd like i could say hey it's the best in the world, but really, check out the school for model shipwrights. The timbering sets are based on the work of Harold Hahn you can view all his models here on the forum. The school is all about semi scratch building. The timbering sets stop short of becoming a kit, there are no instructions or rigging, no fittings and no finished parts it is a box of scaled dimensional lumber

This is scratch except that the plans are already lofted and are not of a rarely or never before modeled ship.
If you loft your own vessel and go thru the difficult process of determining the species, dimensions, and quantities of timber required, I bet that Dave can one off a timber set to match it. And a place to go to supplement any short falls or loss to mistakes.

Dave has been at this for a while. I just saw his ad in the NRJ from about 1980 and he was offering Apple, Holly, and Satinwood !

This is so individual that any review is meaningless.
