Id like to see that tackle box of yours, might make one too.

Thanks for the info on the rod, I'll have to give it a go. I really like the look of your little rowboat. Gave me some ideas.

I did the Midwest skiff and it reminded me so much of the boats grandpa built at the lake house. I decided to build three more, building them as I remember grandpa doing it, usually from free wood he scavenged from somewhere, so they were all built different. I did three, one has a shallow "V" bottom and we used it with a 5 horse Evinrude. The second was with a Dory built bottom, carvel built hull and false keel. Third was a plank bottom with a false keel, and clinker built or lapstrake hull. All three of these were completely scratch built, just like I remember building them with grandpa.
