Adhesive for flag

Hey all,
What type of adhesive should I use for the pirate flag from my OcCre Buccaneer? It's the fold over type with the printing on both halves. The materiel is kind of a tight woven nylon of sorts. Very thin and resembles your typical bed linens, but very thin. The OcCre video series on YouTube shows using a glue stick of sorts, applying it on one side then folding it over with the thread in the middle. I don't want any bleed through, but I want it to make sure it won't separate. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestions and wonderful pictures. All your flags look great.
I'm just going to stick with the flag that came with the kit. I'm not advanced enough to make my own.
There are borders that have to be trimmed off, so I'll cut some of that and try a couple of different glues thinned out to see what works best. For starters, I'll thin some Elmer's School Glue (which is clear) and thin that out.

Well, the clear Elmers School glue full strength and also watered down didn't adhere at all on both tests. No go.
CA bonded immediately and really made a big mess and couldn't even get anything lined up. A really no go on the size of the flag.
Looks like I'm going to try the glue stick, but I'm running out of trimmable border samples.

Clear shellac should also work. Apply to the cloth and then form the shape of the furling as desired when the cloth begins to stiffen as the shellac's alcohol solvent evaporates.
