Ik never thought in would like building wooden ships. Ask myself sometimes why in want to do it. Ik like the ships and building andere working with wood but it can sometimes so frusterating and you keen thinkin for solutions. Doe you have the same?

oh yes the frustration I turn that frustration into a quest for knowledge.

there have been a number of projects I start with lofty ideas but I find myself hitting a brick wall or nothing but a maze of dead ends. So I scrap the project and find something else. I suggest before starting a model do your research and find out as much as you can about the subject.

the best thing for you to do is share that frustration with people here. You will find people willing to share a better way of doing something or offering a lead to more information. or offering the information.

the best thing for this hobby right now is sharing everything we can with each other. This makes for a better hobby, better builders and a happy group

so just ask

@didit , i can fully underline the words -> in good days and in bad days, here we / everybody can share happiness and also frustration if something is not working. We are here to help, or only listening, and find together ways out of the „bad days“....

Well that building gives me every Day a reasson to get out of bed and go trouhg the pain and tiredness to see the ship grow piece by piece. Have also to rest in between in bed but then i can think for solutions for the problems i encounter. Sometimes my mind is little foggy because of the morfine. But i trie tot built as good and straight as in can.

That is correct Pat. Sometimes answer come to me when I am resting. I agree with @Uwek to work each part of the ship as if that part is a separate project. This helps you to stay focus and relax. All of us have some problems with our building. Some successes and some failures, but all in all, each step of the way, we learn. Remember that it is really no "failure" !!! Failure is a product of trying. If you not try, then you will not know and grow your knowledge and skill of determination and more important is the "determination" to complete.
I am very frustrated with my Cannons as they are comsuming a lot of time and the kit is not very nice. But, it takes time to work around this. Then I shall move to the next problem and find another solution to it. Sometime, it is the "difficulty" that makes it fun and interesting.

A wood ship is a one step at a time achivement. Leave it, come back do a bit more. There are long repetitious things to go through, but sometimes those are the most relaxing. Some hate rigging, I love it. Ratlines are extremely repetitious, but because they are so simple, move, tie a knot, move tie a knot. Get to the end, do it again. Its extremely relaxing as you think about nothing else. The suddenly you look up and see what you have created from nothing and have a wow moment. Those that dont build ships do not get it, but those that do realise the magic and sit back and go 'I did that !"
