I obtained this large Agamemnon model from an old friend whose husband had a collection of old ship models, and was wondering if any of you can identify which kit it was made from?

It looks a little like the Caldercraft kit but with full sails.

Thanks for any help you can give me! Steve

Most of the parts are wood. The plastic parts include the cannons, the red enclosures around them, and the ornamentation above the windows in the back.

I would like to replace the cannons if possible with some that are higher quality than the plastic ones, perhaps made of brass or black metal. Any parts suppliers you can recommend for this? I am new to all of this and before I try my own build would like to restore / improve this one. Thanks, Steve

Looks like its a generic version of the ship Agamemnon, which are made in Indonesia.
You can tell by the out of scale gratings and planking.

in Spain no problems., we have a minimum of 2 big kits suppliers, their fittings etc, plus their own produced fitting. My supplier for more than 30 years was and still exists: Model Reyna; in Madrid
