furled sails, means "Ready for use" if necessary -> so I guess YES !In reference to doing furled sails....Yes, I'm going through the search... is all the running rigging still there even when the sails are furled.? thank you Some seem to be,,, others not.....
That is exactly what I have been learning. Foremast is rigged with all necessary block and footropes. Working on main, then mizzen. Doing a much as possible b4 making the final decision on whether to add sails or not. Thank you for the infoAll rigging is still in place even with furled sails. The leech, bunt, clew, and sheet lines are all still rigged.
For humor. . . is right a left counterwise rotation on starboard tack or a right clockwise rotation on a port tack. . . choice subconsciously related to political sentiments????? The winds are ever changing! ;-) Rich (PT-2)If you do sails, then I highly suggest that you turn your Yards at an angle. Rarely a ship will be 'with' running on the wind with the yards at 90° offset to the mast. I suggest about a 20° offset. Just an opinion. Then you have to decide at which 'good side' you want your ship to be displayed on.
