Hi all-

Slightly off topic of (most) builds I guess but I’m at a loss as to where else to turn…

I’m currently on with this build but am modifying the wheels for something else and so need to get some smaller springs- the bit I can’t sort!

Currently they measure 30mm long, OD is 10mm, ID is 6mm and the thickness of the spring is1mm.

In terms of dimensions, the new spring must be the same in ID/OD must be the same but the length I need is 25mm..

Can anyone point me in the right direction??? PLEASE!!!

Pictures for reference…

Here’s hoping!

Thanks

James

The springs are much tighter at the top and bottom ie shaped so cant be cut!!
Otherwise ive no idea
What model is this

Saw that, but what alternatives are there? Maybe cut and spot weld the ends tight? Have cut torsion springs for garage doors for correct balance with no issues. Just a thought.

It’s for the Agora Shelby AC cobra- can’t cut them as they wouldn’t sit flat when fitted- unless I try and bend them I guess…?‍

Maybe anneal the ends with quick blast from a torch? That could make them easier to shape. Or just roll your own around a 6mm mandrel. Do the springs actually support the suspension or are they just cosmetic?
