Thanks for granting me a membership in these forums.
I've built mostly 1/35 scale armour or 1/48 scale WW1 or WW2 aircraft over the the years. No I've returned to tall ships.
I have two kits that I'm currently working on. One is the 1/96 scale Revell Cutty Sark and the other is the old Hobbycraft Bluenose fishing schooner.
I've order wooden blocks, chains and decorations and flags for my Cutty Sark and thus have the blocks and the chain from the Revell Cutty Sark kit as spare parts. I intend to use some of that on my Hobbycraft Bluenose model.
The Bluenose kit is extremely simplified but will be a good way to get aback into things like rigging. I just wish that there was a molded waterline on the hull of that kit. I guessed at where the waterline would be and painted the lower hull today.
Cheers
