an idea to reach more audiences

I lost interest in stamp collecting when stamps were no longer engravings of art, and not easily mounted.
When I was just a lad, I wanted to be an engineer, watching 2-8-0s of the Western Maryland hauling carloads of coal along the creek at the southern end of
our farm.
The farm next to ours had a Curtis Jenny trainer his Dad purchased after WW1 and we helped him put it together (It was a crate job) in exchange for promises of free rides which he gave us, and I got into model stick rubber band powered airplane models.
Dad was a 30 year Navy man, which is how started plastic ship models, the USS Constitution being the star of the show. I am on my third Connie, the first two having been destroyed.
I got my license in 1959, in 1960 I purchased a 1953 Ford Custom line from a junk yard for 50 dollars and rebuilt it, then I got into model cars.
Then college interrupted, followed by Uncle Sam, then the love of my life intervened, we got marries 53 years ago, had five kids who felt their God given duty was to drive us crazy. All of this impacted what I did for a hobby.
Retired now due to medical issues, and seeing the beauty of real wood models, I purchased Model Expo's beginners' kit.

... in today's age (God help us all), to reach a really broad audience and try to spark interest and gain a large following in 'anything' you first need to turn it into a video game and ensure that it is based on pure fiction, violence and sex!

What do you think about the idea of making a TV program to spread modeling to a wider audience... The masters who are here and have free time can give lessons and practices about modeling... It can also be a source of income for this forum that we are members of... What are your thoughts?
have even had the idea that it could be an obvious idea to spread knowledge of this world

Where you could make a youtube channel, controlled by a group, where people could then send films to, which could be uploaded.

I know there are many who have a YouTube channel dealing with the subject of model building.

I ran across a plastic model of a nude woman. This might garner some attention. However, after some consideration I decided that sticking to ships was the safest option...what are you supposed to do with a nude model?plus, I doubt this would encourage wannabe modelers to go with ships.

in todays age? what you are describing was invented by the baby boom generation years ago. remember sex drugs and rock and roll. 40 years ago.
i wasn't generation Z that invented video games we did the baby boomers. did it.
A conversation between generation Z and a grandparent "oh grampa you just don't understand computers! oh really WE invented them

yesterday the wife and i were at a family picnic and i was talking to grandkids (generation Z) and Ev mentioned our garden and the vegetables we were growing. The remarks i got were quite interesting. why would you bother going through all the trouble when you can go to the grocery store and just buy what you need? that is such a waist of time and energy to grow your own food, what are you a Pilgram it's 2025?
If you think about it that makes a lot of sense and this is how gen Z thinks logical, practical and to the point. I would not call gen Z lazy or not interested in developing any skills they just see thing differently. Like why would you waist hundreds of hours building a model ship? why? what is the practical reason for it?
in a crazy way i get it

Wait till the reach their 70s!
Growing food is a hobby, and much cheaper with less "additives", that they will learn to appreciate as senior citizens.
Just like building models!

you hit it! that was my answer

i don't have to go to work i am retired so it is not a waist of time maybe i like to sit and watch the garden grow.
but in 50 years there may be nothing here but cock roaches and bugs. Or gen Z might be living in the matrix

The above articles reminds me of a statement I recently read from a member of the Gen Z group where this individual stated " Who Needs The Farmers, I can Buy Everything I need At The Grocery Store". :( sad.
We were raised on a farm in Pennsylvania near the southern boarder between Gettysburg and Pittsburg. One summer my cousin Jo Ann spent two weeks with us on the farm, where she discovered milk comes from cows. She refused to drink milk for years afterwards, she always thought it came from the store.
