A quick update on my annealing with induction experiment. I tried to use our new induction stove top to anneal photoetch by using a saucepan as the electromagnet “go-between “. Although it did eventually work, the extreme amount of heat ultimately decimated the pan, making it severely warped and useless for cooking or future annealing. Considering the loss of cookware, the smell of said pan’s burning, and the possibility of destroying a $9,000 induction range, not to mention the ire of my spouse, I consider this test a FAIL!
