Aqua Riva Build

moved on quite a bit, Stained up parts for cabin, done seats and also noticed on Real boat there are pockets on side doors and also airvents at bottom of cabin, have manufactured these up and fitted, have started bottom hull first planking (phew) but this is good practise for later when i lay mahogany strips, also played around with Dashboard in between planking as breaks the monotony, Have to just praise this site as got so much information and assistance from other Riva Builders KEN and DP trainer to mention a few (many thanks) and can only hope i can get somewhere near their Quality .IMG_0163.jpegIMG_0162.jpegIMG_0170.jpegIMG_0195.jpegIMG_0196 - Copy.jpegIMG_0177.jpegIMG_0186.jpeg

moved on a bit since last post , Planked up as high as i can go ,need to fit electrics before i go any further, saw someone previously put light switch in cabin BUT then had trouble getting to it ,so i sourced a place After sticking seats in as guide i could see i can place small switches in side panel next to back seats. also do 2 side pockets . and again on original boat seats have mahogany panel on alley side. i also put in silver bars as end caps. finish all my wiring to the " small motors which will propel on tick over ( I never intend to sail this ALWAYS a display only , also did a couple of set ups for cockpit surround Try and use both flat and also some with foam in, I think i will go with the flat sides (as may have trouble putting future metal tread boards on foam but leave foam filled back rests . Phew, now to finish of first planking...View attachment 583369IMG_0186.jpegIMG_0193.jpegIMG_0196 - Copy.jpegIMG_0195.jpegIMG_0211.jpegIMG_0211.jpegIMG_0199.jpegIMG_0211.jpegIMG_0214.jpegIMG_0216.jpegIMG_0241.jpegIMG_0222.jpegIMG_0223.jpegIMG_0259.jpegIMG_0244.jpegIMG_0251.jpegIMG_0245.jpegIMG_0259.jpegIMG_0256.jpegIMG_0259.jpegIMG_0258.jpegIMG_0260.jpeg

Hi Kevin, It’s coming along nicely. Looks like you’re making a success of it. Mine was only for display so I could take liberties but you’re giving yourself a real challenge by making it functional. Good luck with it and keep your interesting posts coming.
