and do you have any explanation as to why the registration states the business as being registered, and physically existing in CANADA... is advertising itself as the USA company...
You can’t have a fake website a business with Shopify ,they veify everything ,also most likely the data is wrong what you have .

The website was registered through Tucows. The Canadian address of "96 Mowat Ave, Toronto, ON" you see in "WhoIs" is actually that of Tucows headquarters.

His business address used to be an apartment building in Florida which I called him out on, wondering if he actually had inventory. It has changed and now it is a residential house. Neither of these would be disqualifying, because, hey, every business has to start somewhere. Apple started in a garage. The proof will be in those brave adventurers who order from him and report the results. I wish him luck!

... and do I have to have explanations? We are a ship-modeling forum, so tracing and investigating the domain registers is outside our knowledge and competence.

Just for your information, The US and Canada are often referred to as part of the North American region.

I appreciate that you've taken the time to check the hosting details—indeed, our website is served through a reputable provider, as clearly indicated by the record 'as13335 Cloudflare Inc.' Regarding your question about our location, the apparent Canadian registration is simply a reflection of our privacy settings and registration practices, which are common and completely legitimate in our industry. It's a bit ironic that while you claim to have thoroughly verified information, you seem to disregard clear, verifiable facts in favor of baseless assumptions. I welcome constructive feedback, but I urge you to consider all the evidence before threatening to report or making unfounded claims. Let's keep our discussion rooted in verified facts.

Our business is fully compliant and operates as the authorized Occre distributor in the United States, as confirmed directly by the Occre team. The fact that we use Shopify for hosting and secure payment processing further reinforces our commitment to providing a reliable and legitimate service to our U.S. customers.

While the WHOIS record may indicate a Canadian registration—simply because of the privacy services in place—it in no way undermines our operational transparency or the quality of our service. I encourage everyone to look beyond superficial details and consider the full spectrum of verifiable facts before drawing conclusions. Our focus remains on delivering trusted products and maintaining strong customer relationships.Screenshot 2025-04-11 at 11.57.54 AM.pngScreenshot 2025-04-11 at 12.20.38 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-04-11 at 12.21.35 PM.png

ive been ripped off by companies with identical hosting.. doesnt really mean anything long term.

And honestly, your arent the ONLY source for occre kits in the united states. A place called Ages of Sail in california, thats been in business for 9 years now has them. Sure your prices are about 50-60 lower on kits over 200$ msrp.. but big deal

Why so bitter and angry @tball4217? Both on this thread and others you are building a reputation that is less than complimentary. This is a nice forum with kind and helpful people sharing an interesting hobby. Take a breath and enjoy what we share. We all have challenges in life and it's nice to have a place to go where people are respectful and look for the best in others. I trust you would enjoy that too, if you would allow it to happen. Be at peace, my friend.

Thanks for your input. I understand that similar hosting setups don't alone guarantee long-term quality. While there are other providers like Ages of Sail, we're proud to be an authorized OcCre distributor in the USA, working directly with the OcCre team. Our competitive pricing on OcCre kits not only offers great value but also supports the growth of the Occre brand.

My commitment goes beyond just making a sale—it's about helping Occre, its team, and all Occre enthusiasts, as well as the wider model ship community, get the recognition the brand deserves. Ultimately, trust is built on transparency, genuine products, and solid customer support.

Just to clear things up—we’re not a reseller or a store. We’re just a friendly bunch of hobbyists sharing resources, deals, and helping each other out. When someone finds a solid price or a new source for kits, we pass it along so the whole community benefits. Simple as that.

And while it’s true Ages of Sail carries Occre kits, they're not the only ones—and their prices often stay near MSRP. When we highlight a source that consistently offers $50–60 off on higher-end kits, that’s worth noting. For a lot of folks, that kind of savings goes straight into materials, upgrades, or their next project.

We’re not trying to replace anyone—just making the hobby more accessible by keeping info flowing. That’s what we’re here for

Easy there, matey—no one’s out to scuttle yer spirits or rob ye o’ yer precious fumes. Just settin’ a proper course, not throwin’ shade. Let’s keep it light, aye? There be enough glue to go ‘round without sniffin’ trouble
