Woody JOE, contrary to what its name indicates, is a brand of a Japanese manufacturer of wooden model boats (Higaki-Kaïsen for example), Japanese castles, temples, etc...
It is often of great quality, but expensive... in addition to the rather high postage (Japan import), and the new VAT to be paid at reception!
But originality has a price.
They just released the Atakebune: a warship from the early Edo period (17th). Japanese were not great sailors, but they had a certain sense of war...
This is what they had imagined (no real proof of their existence):
Personally, I think the model would deserve some upgrades to fit the materials and the scale, but I love its originality!
Anyway... it's coming in 10 days!!!
(Zootoys, the distributor just sent me an email saying that I am the first order in the world...)
