Hi, are you planning a Blomefield pattern? There's very little on the market. Vanguard offer a full carriage kit but if your build has a lot of guns the cost is very painful! Many kits are late 1700's or early 1800's so Blomefields would be historically accurate.

Similar to the Armstrong on the left of the three cannons but with the ring on the cascabel. For my current frigate I'd need 24.blom.jpg

Do you happen to have any English barrels from Charles I period c.1635 for HMS Sovereign of the Seas, specifically sakers for the forecastle, upper gun deck at the waist, and stern castle decks? Looking for 1:72 scale, approximately 28mm long? Or are those too tiny?

@ Bob Ellis - send to us on e-maila measurements (sizes) of barrels which do you need?

@ DARIVS ARCHITECTVS - We have designed all barrels for Sovereign of the Seas. In 1/72 scale these barrels will be very small. First , I must do tests. I am do not know what will be the final effect in 1/72. Satisfying or not.

Short pattern Blomefield at 1:64 scale=blomefield 18ib short.jpg38mm length 7.5mm wide at the breach end. The illustration is a combined plan/side elevation you may find as a useful reference

Exquisite, first rate work, chaps. If I'd only seen the photo, in isolation, I'd have said these were bronze castings! I've signposted a couple of SR builders to this page, think these cannons would be a lovely addition to the Heller build.
