Basswood Blocks

I am wondering why I could not see this post yesterday in the latest post section,so I bump it up .
 
Basswood is super soft so I would use a hacksaw for cutting thicknesses and then most anything will carve it. Used a hacksaw a ton cutting basswood when I did planes it has little waste from the with of the cutting teeth
