Bb63 lights

I'm opening port holes on all decks and the bridge. 12v led wired in series from Lighthouse, with on off switch.

why in series because if 1 burns out or is defective then all won't work wereas in parallel, with 1 bad, the others still work? do you know the difference between series & parallel?

Thank you guys for your feedback. The led are on a strip and I am wrong they are parallel. This is a learning experience for me. So tips, comments and ideas are a help. Thanks one and all

what is the designed voltage for that led as 12v seems high to me as usually 3v to 5v? also what is the amperage(amps) needed for that strip?
