Hi all,
As the title suggests who makes the best deadeyes and rigging blocks?
I look forward to your suggestions.
Regards

Some days ago I received my blocks from @Dry-Dock Models & Parts , which are also member here in our forum

The best quality on the market - and fast delivery

btw: postage costs are not a big problem, due to the lightweight

any to avoid.
Yes there are but it depends on if you are looking for best quality or best price. Look at blocks from Syren and Dry Dock then look at blocks from others and then decide. Quality blocks like these two in particular are not cheap but they look great. Compare all prices, even between these two suppliers, as there are big differences. One consideration is that there are not very many sizes from any supplier, but at our scales this probably is not a problem for most builders.
Comparison below. These pictures are from their websites if you want to compare more closely. Look at these and blocks in photos of contemporary models then decide what suits you best

Everyone has their preferences. I kinda agree with Dirk that DryDoc is the best rigging blocks on the market, IMHO. Not to mention the size range and wood selection they are made. How about the ebony blocks? How about 1.5mm blocks? Even with such a small size they look like blocks.

I think it is good that we have multiple sources to choose from, and that everyone can pick what they like.

Afaik he is abandon wood blocks completely. And I think his blocks are clumsy and wrong for most time periods. Just my 2 cent
Could you please provide some information on what shape blocks were used at different time periods? This is something I have not seen discussed on the forum. Do you have pictures for examples? It would be interesting to see how blocks changed over time.

Ok ,but we are not mind readers, what we need to do with this member?and why was he tagged?
... you don't have to be a mind reader, nor do anything with the member. You are not the one tagged, and maybe you don't have to know why he/she was tagged ROTF ROTF ROTF This is between Stephan and Scheepshoorn

I was explaining @AllanKP69 what the "@" symbol means, and how to use it.

I have no idea why a message only included a tag. That's like ringing their doorbell then running away. Usually, the @ symbol is used to make members aware their names are being used in any coversation, so they can respond and contribute.
