Best deadeyes/rigging blocks

Could you please provide some information on what shape blocks were used at different time periods? This is something I have not seen discussed on the forum. Do you have pictures for examples? It would be interesting to see how blocks changed over time.
i do remember a thread here on that subject. perhaps a search can find it. ill check my bookmarks... i save those kind of informative threads. now where is it?

I have no idea why a message only included a tag. That's like ringing their doorbell then running away. Usually, the @ symbol is used to make members aware their names are being used in any coversation, so they can respond and contribute.
or it's calling their attention to this entire thread for what ever reason.

F1 in town
Lucky you!! Circuit Zandvoort! I have been very fortunate to go to F1 races in Canada and the USA as far back as 1978 when Mario Andretti won the championship. Love the sport what with the smell of the fuel and the sound.

Stephan I know this is off topic and I apololgize for that, but if you want the thrill of a lifetime do as my wife and I did. We went to the three day Formula Ford racing school in Mont Tremblant and learned how to really drive. We used the old F1 course there! I am sure there are similar schools in Europe. I went back for lapping school some weeks later for two days of advanced driving to get lap times down but to be competitive you need to be under 20 years old to start when you still do not know what real fear or common sense are. :) (This was MANY years ago when I had little fear and no grey hair)
