Hi All Shipwrights,
To a beginner comes from plastic modelling, what wood ship model kit do you recommend?

I recently finished the FD 10 fishing yawl from Billing Boats. I think it is a great kit for those who had some plastic modelling experience but want to make their first wood ship model.

Yes, I made a few mistakes in this build. Yet, the end result is not too bad.

Enjoy!

Interesting model - and well build
and very good presented

Very nice - excellent Photography too.

Beautiful boat and very instructive video ! Billing boats, good for beginners ?
I have read that there are not many instructions in the kit , and it's not really for beginners : true ? I am interrested by Billing boats because they have fishing boats and not only sailing boats

My first boat was from Billings when I was totally an amateur. I had no trouble to go through their insturctions and plans.
You will figure it out while you are making on the way. Good luck.
