Hallow Donnie,
It looks that everybody should past in modeling this step - build Black Pearl. Me too made it
This is my second model. I have no idea why my frends and relatives found Black Pearl more beautiful than Royal Carolina (a lot of gold decoration)
But Black Pearl takes emediately attention.
OK, I finished and go ahead with next model.
Thanks

Interesting stand. I've never seen a model that is only connected to the stand at the aft portion of the keel. How did you connect it to the keel?

HI Vfordyce,
I make sketch to show you the idea ofbase.jpg this base
I made both my ships with such base and at my point it hold the ship absolutely security and loks very good
I think you understand I cover aluminium with veneer

I also have the "Pearl" in Back logged dry dock along with her nemesis "Flying Dutchman" I have a very ambitious dry dock: "Forrester" a west coast lumber schooner, Midship sections for the "U.S.S. Constitution" and "Bon Homme Richard", "U.S.S. Enterprise", "Bluenose", "Hermione LaFayette", "Gretel VIII", "Newsboy", "Charles W. Morgan", "H.M.S. Terror", "Sovereign of the Seas", "Amerigo Vespucci", "Wasa", "San Felipe", "Mighty Mike", and "King of the Mississippi". All likely in my retirement.
