Thx Uwek. I guess the pin and the sheaves were metal? I am thinking maybe the eye also? And I believe those metal parts were iron or some other metal?block_parts.jpg

Was just said the sheaves were wooden, Lignum vitae. The pin was metal due to wood's high friction. A metal pin and maybe in a metal bush did the trick. Was it iron or was it bronze? That I dont know.
