Using clips instead of nails and gave the the template a miss ,m using my Drebel with 1mm bit to drill the holes for the scuppers from the inside and using the spacer to protect the deck , using a flat file from the outside to finish the Job , no double planking and using Dark Blue Tamiya and Red Boot for the Hull

Hello Hunter. Many thanks for sharing. If you don't mind, the device sown in your image is called a windlass, and you are correct, one of the duties of this machine is to let-out and heave-up an anchor. Can you show this windlass in close-up photos\images? That would help others when they will make their decisions.

It is a Billingboats Electric WindlassB1C525A3-5175-40A2-B346-17D2813D2357.jpeg1EC24653-A908-423D-8BAF-BF42E4E2D35C.jpegC1253E9A-1986-439D-8B4C-593FC9248C10.jpeg, Cornwall Model Boats in the UK sells them , but there are many others who sell them as well , the measurements are correct as stated btw there are 2 chain locker holes on the windlass

Received the decals , the Bluenose 2 has a yellow line near the top of the hull, there is no way to be able to paint it precisely , hence the decals!, BECC also has draft markings in various scales , yes there is progress in the build and love doing it , I have built various models over time mainly RC but this is quite a challenge

The overall effect is sleek and clean Rob! Thumbs-Up How did you fix the keel? The damage not disastrous , it just broke off including the rudder , anyway CA Glue fixed it , a bit of sanding here and there and a coat of Boot Top , you wouldn’t even know , but what I do know be very careful whilst she is locked with her keel in a vice , I have been thought a lesson
