On the way into town today meet my wife in Boston for lunch I found these two at Brattle Books…Period Ship was only $5 and Endurance was only $15 and both are in spectacular pristine condition!

Good finds! I was perusing eBay the other day and noticed a lot of "classic" ship modeling books at excellent prices. Obviously, two or three avid life-long ship modelers slipped under the mainsheet recently and their libraries are getting liquidated on eBay. I had all the "good stuff" already, but a younger modeler would do well to check it out and add to his library. I saw a mint condition two-volume set of Underhill's Plank on Frame Ship Models for only $19! I almost bought them just to "flip" them on eBay, but didn't bother. Check it out if you are a ship modeler who maintains a library like Paul and I do!

Great choice! That's one of my favorite go-to's for how-to scratch building. It's all in there. All with inexpensive hand tools. Old school style!

Cost about 25% of new. I also picked up this as a guide to maybe someday building a scratch built model.
