Will keep an eye on your build...you are already off the good start. Make sure you 'Fair' the bulkheads, before you will proceed with hull planking,

I used to scratch build radio control craft using plank on frame so am not a complete rookie. However, the planking did not have to be perfect as the hull would be filled sanded and then covered with glass fibre matting and epoxy resin to make watertight.
I understand this model will have to be different as the planking will be on show.
