I acquired this kit through an online auction about a year ago. I have always been interested in Steam Power and think that a working boat is the greatest use of the power plant. I also would like to install RC and a steam whistle. Hoping for advice from members and motivation to finish this model. Laughing Whale I understand is a company out of the east coast and similiar to Midwest but a bit longer and includes a wooden canopy which I think is neat. Please don't hesitate to give advice. It's already proving to be complex.

This may be more than I need but I tested it and it works

This needs to be installed in the front

A couple overview shots of the actual kit

This is the propeller and metal castings

I got this steam whistle which needs to be installed

I like these castings

I need to think about a wood sealer. Anyone have a recommendation?

I built this cradle yesterday. I think Midwest supplies one with their kit Laughing Whale didn't

When I put the deck down it was a bit warped looking so I cut it back apart

Still sanding and planning the installation of the RC unit parts
