This is a kit that I want to build. But, it is always "someday" As CCR once sang, "Someday never comes!"Just getting started on my first wood ship build. I’m sure I could have started on something a little easier, but figured why not just jump in head first. I may rethink that by the time I’m done!

Understandable. I’ve had the kit for over a year. Severe boredom from a two week winter blast encouraged me to get started. This is a kit that I want to build. But, it is always "someday" As CCR once sang, "Someday never comes!"

It is a smaller plank-on-bulkhead kit by Mantua. From what I've In other words, the Mantua is the , it is a very nice kit that builds into a reasonable model of the Thermopylae. The only other kit that builds into a reasonable model of this ship is the old Scientific solid hull model that is long out of production. The old Revell plastic kit in no way resembles Thermopylae; it is merely a copy of Cutty Sark. Finally, there is an old plastic kit of the small scale Revell plastic Cutty Sark that was simply repackaged as Thermopylae but in no way resembles that ship. In other words, the Mantua kit is the only one that is commercially available today.Hi what's it like as a kit ?
