I have finally begun the Caldercraft HM Pickle kit, I am so far, impressed with the instructions and materials.Things fit! I have built a number of kits from other companies and all have been ok, for the most part, but there are always issues, instructions, quality of materials, parts fit, etc. What are others opinions of Caldercraft models?

So far I have built their HMS Snake and the Mary Rose and can't fault them. The build logs are on here somewhere.
Jotika also offer spares and the service is excellent - they actually answer the phone!
I have also built -
Panart - oh dear.
Currently building Mamoli - the less said the better.
Caldercraft aren't the cheapest, but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Have you got a build log running?
Regards.

I have found that their range of wooden ships is good but their larger R/C kits that use GRP hulls not so hot. The plans are good also the wood they supply is high quality but the white metal castings they supply are the worst I have ever seen. I have built four of their wooden ships and two with GRP hulls and the castings has been rubbish in them all.

Regards JJ..
