Captain Kidds Ship

Welcome to SoS Apmechanic

The Adventure Galley is circa 1695 so would likely have a tiller and controlled with a whipstaff. The tiller could have been as short as 3 1/2 feet long from the rudder to the forward end. By the same token, HMS Litchfield 1685 had a tiller that was 16 feet long. There is no factual information on this ship as far as I know so whatever you come up with for the location of the whipstaff over the end of the tiller is pretty much up to you.
