Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a good catenary curve?
I'm finishing up my Muscongus Bay Smack build and, as the jib is furled, I wanted to give a realistic curve to the halyard.

From the side, it looks ok-ish, but I feel like it's just a bit off somewhere. From other angles, though, it's clear that it has some unrealistic side-to-side sway.

How do you get a better curve? It's Syren rope, I used watered-down white glue to position it. I tried to weigh down the line a bit with a bunch of small lengths of wire, first clamped to the line (which seems to have induced twist) and then just tacked in place with shellac. But it doesn’t seem like it's quite giving me the results I'd like.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
