Chinese Harvey

Hi,

That’s good!

Much wood to remove. Try a half round wood file, if you like. File first then fill….

Less work if minimal filler used. Can mask along seam, fill just the seam….

Keep going! Good luck.

You're right about the much wood to remove, being a lot more careful on the other side!

Learning the hard way not to buy Chinese knock-offs! I have had to go back and re-do things so many times. I have found pics of other peoples builds more useful than the instructions that came with the model. Trying to do the deadeyes is extremely frustrating. The rigging that came with it is too big to go thru the holes, and if you drill them, no matter how carefully, they usually break. I don't want to go smaller because I don't think they will look right. I am looking online for some better quality pulleys and deadeyes. Even though it's frustrating at times, overall it's still enjoyable. It will take a while, but I intend to finish it (too stubborn to quit).
I'm pretty new to this game, but I've already learned a valuable lesson, you get what you pay for!
