Chock for trestle tree.

Well this has me puzzled.
I cannot figure out Steel's description.
Does anyone have a better description of the shape of a Chock for the lower mast?

HI Allan,
From James Lees (no drawings available)- "A chock was required between the trestletrees under the crosstree forward of the topmast: after 1815 an additional chock was required abaft the topmast. These chocks were the same width as the cross trees and came down level with the lower edge of the trestle trees. They were nailed to the topmast." The Masting and Rigging of English Ships of War, page 28

This is not helped by the drawing accompanying Steele's description being a little confusing.
 
Hi guys. I know it is being fussy. Lee's description is accurate but there was clearly some more detail in it. Steel shows different chocks depending upon the size of the vessel. One clearly says scores next to the chock which means rebates or chamfers. Anyway I will go with what I have drawn until something comes to light. Thanks for replies. Regards Allan
