Anyone ever use this type of clamp before? These came in a used kit I bought online. I looked online, but saw no references to them. My concern was the screw at the end looked like it might be a problem if screwing into wood that was on the thin side. Would there be a risk of splitting?

I have seen photos of some builds on the forum using this type of clamp but can't remember where.
It looks a bit tedious to screw and unscrew these into every individual plank.
A suggestion: use them to secure one end of strips of plywood (0.8 x 5 mm?) into one plank then bend and
clip the srtrips round the line of the bulkesad to secure several successive planks.
A cable tie might be an alternative. Your clamps might be a more convenient alternative to the small screws I use.

Thanks, I really appreciate the input. I did seem like it would be a lot of trouble to be moving these clamps. These were in a used kit I bought and looked as though they had never been used. Maybe the previous owner found out early on what you mentioned about being tedious.
I used these for years with very few problems. Tips are very pointed and sharp so not hard to start. The plastic plates bend to conform to planks and screws are very aggressive with good purchase in plywood bulkheads. Were my go-to in hard places that required a lot of clamping force. Hard on the fingers when tightening down.
