Commissioned carving works - Auftragsarbeit Schnitzerei

Das ist mein nächster Auftrag den ich für einen guten Kollegen ausgeführt habe. Ich habe ihm gesagt, fällt es ihm nicht gefällt, dann kann er es gerne wieder zurück geben, da mir das selber gut gefällt. Ein anderer Kumpel hat gesagt, fällt ihm diese Figur nicht gefällt, er baut ein Schiff für dieses Gallionsfigur. Aber leider hat er die Figur nicht bekommen. Figur ist im Maßstab 1:100 und aus deutschem Buchsbaum. Die Figur ist 22 mm hoch und 32 mm lang.

This is my next assignment for a good colleague. I told him, if he doesn't like it, he can gladly give it back because I like it a lot myself. Another buddy said if he doesn't like this figure, he'll build a ship for this figurehead. But unfortunately, he didn't get the figure. The figure is on a scale of 1: 100 and made from German boxwood. The figure is 22 mm high and 32 mm long.

The eyes are difficult to make, but on this scale you still hit it. Marvelous!
Now I can also see how to make the eyes. Wieder etwas gelernt :)

I would like to ask A question about carving / sculpting in boxwood:
whether it is very hard to need knock sculptors and not hand sculptors, or whether it is soft enough and suitable for working with hand sculptors and for small-scale sculpture like figuredhead ?

Bux ist der hertteste holz sehr schwer zu schnitzen aber gut geeignet für miniaturen zu herstelen

boxwood is a very hard wood, hard to carve, but very good for producing miniatures

Lieber Ivan, wie immer sieht deine Schnitzarbeit einfach fantastisch aus, ich würde mich freuen, wenn du Bilder hinzufügen würdest, die die Stadien der Arbeit dokumentieren
