DeAgostini - not doing too good

If you think about it, 'all' of these subscription-based builds are truly nothing but clandestine Ponzi schemes. Do some research. It seems as though the only people who seem to get all of their parts, as advertised, are those who get in during the very early release of 'most' of these subscription-based models. As time goes on and the worlds economy's change... well. You see how this goes. They aren't breaking any laws. They are just depending on folks who don't take things like this into consideration up front. Don't come and scorch me for saying this. Remember, I'm one of those people who had to get burned before opening my eyes! I'm right there with you. I just wish people would weigh world economics in the balance before blindly leaping into things like this. The cleaver advertising is quite alluring, however. The realities of what you're getting in to, not so much until it's too late! Do you have any legal recourse once things go south? Nope, not really. "Good luck with that!"

I'm nobody, for the most part. That being said, I'd 'STILL' advise 'anyone' to stay well clear of 'ANY' of those nice-looking subscription-based builds. There's an unmentioned 'DEVIL' lurking in the details of the agreement! 'Nough said. I'm done. "I'll now return this thread to its regularly scheduled postings..."

What is the company saying when you contact them ?

They said nothing and would not respond to email. Eventually their phone stopped working and went dead. They finally went bankrupt!!! "Beware!"

AI Overview

While the name De Agostini is associated with model collections and partworks, and they have faced some business challenges, they are not currently bankrupt. The company has been involved in restructuring and taking some of its holdings private, but this does not indicate a complete financial collapse. There have been issues with specific model lines, like Atlas Editions, and some customer service problems have been reported, but De Agostini continues to operate.

AI, really? AI is not smart at all. It only 'parrots' what people say and what its algorithm is programmed to say! "Beware." In the real world, the writing is already on the wall! Where things go from here is left to the future. AI won't have a clue! Only De Agostini knows the truth and you can rest assured that they won't ever risk harming their own business model by openly warning their potential customers of a looming financial disaster, 'especially' if they know one is coming. It's business and all about cash flow and profits, period!

Sorry to sound so controversial, Bryian. This is not a personal attack, so please don't take it as such. I'd really like to think that De Agostini is solid, but I cannot say that I believe that at all. AI says one thing, so you say, (I'm not going to waste my time with an AI analysis of 'anything') but De Agostini's actual performance, in the real world, indicates something quite different. Do you trade stocks? I do, (I don't let AI pick my stocks) and I can assure you that I would not invest an American penny on the current status of this company's current performance and reputation. No sir! "Where there's smoke there is usually a fire fixing to break out!" Can you honestly say that all the problems that folks are currently experiencing, with De Agostini, should be considered as 'normal' and thus ignored... even while your parts have been 'grossly' delayed with no ETA available? No, I didn't think so. If De Agostini is not truly suffering from crippling financial problems, behind the scenes, they are missing out on a really good chance! LOL

I would also assume that being an Italian company it’s getting affected by the tariffs.

I wrote DeAG again (now going on 6 months with no stage #8) which was supposed to be mailed out February.

I got the same damn reply as I always do. Just nothing but a "canned" sorry for your issues response. Nothing personal and no reasons.

So with this, I want any of you who are willing to DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

They seem to be completely unfazed by any letter I write.

if you are tempted to buy a model from them, DO NOT DO IT - or risk what I have been through with nearly $700 tied up in a model that I can not complete. DAMN THEM.
