Doesn't Anyone Build Spanish Galleons?

I'm a galleon guy! I have a Spanish galleon kit waiting to be built, but the first couple of models I chose to build were 1730's men of war, large, heavily ornate baroque style ships which evolved from late 16th century galleons to become huge, dedicated warships built solely for the purpose of being sea-going symbols of royal power for the monarchs who commissioned them. Call them advertisements for the concept of the divine right of kings to rule. There are a few fellows here who specialise in Spanish, Polish, Ragusian, Medici, and Belgian galleons here, and of course, English race built galleons. Use the search engine here for "Galleon" and read, read, read. Lots of great information to be had! Be sure to buy a copy of Peter Kirsch’s The Galleon.

One of our members, EdwardZ had a beautifully colorful interpretation of the galleon San Francisco II

hello Bill
I like galleons, currently building and gathering info about manila galleons, i am developing a particular interest about this kind of vesssl
Hi Juan,
All I build are Manila Galleons and I have a ton of info about them. I live in the Philippines and got interested 6 years ago. If you need info please contact.me. As you may know Manila galleons sailed from 1565 - 1815 from the Philippines to Mexico. They were built and/or repaired in Cavite shipyard and other locations in the Philippines. But also in Cuba, and Spain.
Just tell me what info you need.
Bill
