Hello everyone. I am trying to find a source for a micro twist drill bit set for my DSPIAE electric sanding pen. Because of the way the collet is designed it will only accept a 3mm round shank. I have looked online and nothing I have found lists the diameter of the shaft. And just to be clear it won't accept 3/32" or 0.11811. I have found some adapters with a 3mm shaft that accept different bit sizes, but I don't recognize any of these companies.

Better look on Aliexpress. I got there 2 sets of 6 for that price. There are more topicstarter here about that subject.

is this what you are looking for?...
They look great but the price is staggering. With conversion to Cdn$, they would be about $40.00 ea. plus shipping. I need at least 4.

Standard, common and very cheap drill shanks are 1/8" = 3.175mm. Is not your DESPIAE drill designed for this shank size? What shank diameter your caliper shows?

Here is example. Any size set you like. Shank is 1/8"

Just so everyone understands what I'm talking about. Here are some photos of the unit. You will notice that the insert for the drill bit doesn't have the three fingers that a normal chuck would have. Instead there's an internal sleeve and 2 hex screws to hold your drill bit or other DSPIAE attachments in place. I have been using their sanding attachments for this unit and they work great. I have ordered the GodHand micro drill bit set from Japan. That should do the trick.

I have a very nice Proxxon Engraver that runs from a 12v power supply that provides a variable speed feature. It came with a 1/32” diamond ball engraver. After using it for many years, I just discovered that it will drive any tool with a 3/32” shank. This includes a collection of old dental burrs.

I have had 0 luck using the carbide drill bitts. For US readers, I have a box of them, various sizes, that I will be happy to give away. Send me a PM.
