A few years ago I build a Drum Thickness Sander from some excellent plans found here on the Ship Building site. Have a few hundred dollars into it's construction and it was very lightly used. Haven't used this for several years now and wanted to see if someone may have a use for it since after all the work I put into it I hate to see it just sitting around. This unit is what you see in the pictures. Heavy duty pillow block bearings, Full dust collection port on top, Total table size is 16" x 16", Drum size is 2 1/2" diameter X 6" long, drum raises to handle 3/4" maximum thickness wood, Corian Table is 6 3/4" x 11 1/2" long. Uses 2" wide sandpaper and is easily cut and wrapped yourself, Linear guide precision lead screw with anti backlash mechanism. Unit is about 2 years old and is in Like New Condition. Less than 30 minutes of total use. This can be shipped, but consideration should be made if you really want the motor since the motor itself weighs almost what the entire sander weighs and would drive up shipping costs. Motors are easily obtainable so shipping would be greatly reduced without the motor. Pulley and drive belt would be included if you did not take the motor. I am not asking a lot for this unit and far less money than it cost me to build. I'm asking $80 total and you pay actual shipping charges. If you choose to take the motor it would be removed and shipped in a seperate carton for safety. Questions or if further pictures are needed, please email me at: rjroehrig@gmail.com

That machine looks familiar to me
Nice build, the better and stronger bearings are a good idea.
