It was suggested that I start a build log for this ship so here goes . A few of my good friends bought this for me they enjoy seeing me build ships , this is my first wood build all my other ships were in plastic .

Thank you I am sure before it's done I will be looking for advice . My first hiccup the rear frame twisted on me and i didn't notice until I removed it from the building board . I have since removed the frame and am in process of fixing it .

Things like this happen, especially when you’re 1st trying a wooden ship build. Check out some of the glue info in here. When to use thinned PVA glue (white wood glue), different thicknesses of CA (crazy glue) and when to use contact cement. I was surprised by this when I started my Bluenose.

About 200 years ago (around 1966) I built a scratch model of a subchaser, built by the US (SC 134?) and then sold to France (renamed to CH 123). The plan was publicised in the 'Hungarian magazin 'Modellezés' (Modelling). Didn't have any good material or tools, it was a struggle to build but I enjoyed it. In these days she is sitting on the desk of an art collector.
This kit looks like pretty much the same type.

oh well! Seems slightly bonkers - we haven't sent you the right lengths because of a shortage but we've sent more of them. Maybe they are just using stock.
