I have always loved Dutch maritime art, both prints and paintings, especially those of the Van de Veldes. However, my appreciation was limited to reproductions in books. By chance, I got to see a show of Dutch art while in Fort Worth's Kimball museum which contained a number of maritime prints and, to my delight, Van de Velde oils. They were glorious. I am sharing some of my pix here in case others on this forum also have an interest in this period.
