i`m starting the same kit myself and het same walls,i will follow your build and hope to learn from you, this is my first build,
my past builds where air plans.
im just getting ready to plank the sides, not sure where to start or with lumber to us, worried about gun port location

First, welcome aboard. Second, to which kit are you referring?
