Hi Smithy
The reason is simply. My most interest are english ships of the second half of the 17. Century.
From the of Oliver Cromwell time till the end of the reign of Queen Ann. Till 1677 the Coat of Arms was the main
decoration on the stern of english ships in the reign of the Stuart and therefor I carved it for the Wall of my living room as decoration.
In the time of William III. the Coat of Arms change a little, because the Lion of Oranien take place in the middle.
You can take a look on my Website www. shifferlbauer.com there you can find more information .
The sice of the Carving are 56cm to 45cm.
Cheers Willi
