I was wondering about the use of entomology pins as a replacement for integral plastic belaying pins in models? Available in diameters down to 0.27mm - which equates to 27mm at 1/100 scale (just over an inch) with correspondingly small heads these are expensive as pins go, but otherwise cheap. For a little more money they are available in a black oxide finish from some suppliers.
