i finally finished my bottle of locktite epoxy. i liked locktite, it cured to a very hard finish i cant dent with my thumb nail on the mixing board. i cant seem to find locktite epoxy at home depot anymore.

i bought jb weld epoxy in the bottles. i saw several recomendations for it so i figured it should be just as good. but to my disappointment, it doesnt cure to a hard finish. it cures to a soft plastic finish i can easily dent with my nail. i tried mixing more hardner but that didnt help at all. its still plastic n dents easily. its too soft. im affraid it may not adhere as well as the locktite brand.

so im curious what epoxy you use and does it cure n adhere well?

I use the only one available in local dollar store.it hardens rock hard like a glass. I noticed it may not harden properly if not mixed thoroughly enough or long enough or if it is very old and one of the two parts or both had solidified almost.

I for one do not use epoxy on any of my ship model builds. Not sure you really need epoxy in most applications. Just a thought…

i dont use epoxy on models either.

yes @yt ur right, but my concern is about the hardness of the epoxy. jb weld is too soft. loctite was hard as a rock.
