As per suggestion i had posted some of it in the forum under wrong heading. wil start again here with the build of the Etoile from Billing Boats

I already posted some pictures in wrong Forum. so starting again as model nears completion.
Do not know about you all . but this model which i started some 12 years ago and only had hull finished.
Retired now and time to spare.
Finaly found out that it is essential to do all the masting and running rigging and sails before putting on ths shrouds and fixxed rigging . Would have also be easier to do all the rigging before filling deck with cabins etc.20260408_093334.jpg20260408_093805.jpg20260409_162422.jpg20260409_162427.jpg20260409_162542.jpg20260409_162552.jpg20260411_124655.jpg20260411_124657.jpg20260411_124955.jpg20260411_125014.jpg20260416_162356.jpg20260419_124241.jpg20260419_124249.jpg20260419_124308.jpg20260419_124313.jpg20260419_124338.jpg20260419_124406.jpg20260419_124410.jpg

Biggest problem was deciphering the drawings. the rigging was on both sides of same A1 drawing, so need to turn over this big sheet of paper is nightmare.
Also some rigging could not be placed (blocks) due to lack of access with deck already populated. so had to skip a block here and there on the deck.
I think no one will notice.
Had to be very creative with blocks as these where missing from the kit when i got it second hand.
The anchor chain winch was made from scratch. (this belonged to separate kit accessory pack which is no longer available)
As i cannot buy anything on my small island had ordered blocks (5mm) and Pins per billing boat number, which are way too short to do normal loop. so inserted threads true the holes and secured it with the pin.
Once i place the rope hanks it will look natural.

Trying to figure out how to attach the ratlines which are tiny wooden strips to the shrouds.
any suggestions welcome

Hi ARU01, may I point out that the pulleys are installed incorrectly? You should rotate them 180 degrees (so the holes face the lugs). Frank
