Flying Dutchman by Tommy S

My soldering iron came in yesterday. It is awesome! I had to redo the LEDs a few times. Shrink tubing did not do well for me. I ended up using liquid electrical tape. The lights are in. Now I can get back to closing up the hull.IMG_0918.jpegIMG_0919.jpegIMG_0920.jpeg

Hey Tommy, checking everything out on the hull. Everything‘s looking wonderful well done. It’s coming along very well. Excellent work. I like the fact that you’ve got the LED lights. I’m looking forward to seeing them all lit up the ships looking magnificent good job. It’s been a while since I’ve looked at the pictures. You’re doing great can’t wait to see all those LEDs light up.

Tommy, I can see some of those lights they’re coming along great it’s gonna be great when everything is complete and those lights those lights draw you in . If I read right I think you’ve got 14 lights total and you said you might add more they look great from what I see so far well done.

Tommy, the ship is coming along nicely. It looks great closing up the port . I enjoy seeing those LED lights. they draw you in. Well done, Tommy. I enjoy watching your work week after week. You’re doing an excellent work. Continue we all enjoy watching you put this together.

Tommy, thanks for the update on the ship. It’s looking great. Glad the soldering iron came in. The lights look incredible. It always is frustrating when you have to go back and redo a task specially something that is so detailed. sanding looks good. I think what would help with the sanding is if you found something with electric motor on it.LOL I was looking forward to seeing your work. Hang in there before you know it. You’re gonna see this mighty ship and I’m looking forward to the final pictures job well done.

… how many different grits of sandpaper do you have? What numbers are they? I’m used to 40,80,100,240 I don’t know what grit you use on sanding something like this. I’m only used to sanding for a car or a piece of furniture so let me know what grit you start with and what grit you will end with. Again well done.

Tommy:
Thanks for the pics. the ship coming along great.
