For sale For Sale: Model Shipways USF CONFEDERACY 1778 1:64 SCALE Admiralty Style

It's sold. And of course money was sent PayPal Business. So I get to eat an amount taken by PayPal and it's a taxable even for me.

It's the 3rd time. Shame on me. There won't be any more sales by me as people on SOS are not good for their word.

I tried to stop the package, but it was shipped USPS and they won't give it back.

Good thing I only have 2 kits remaining. They are going in the trash as I'll never post another sale on SOS.

Now is late, but you could reject the payment when you got it. Simple as that.
Why you shipped it if you were not comfortable with the payment.
 
I had a similar situation with an antique scale i had on sale. The potential buyer made me an offer, that i rejected. He accepted to pay full price. BUT !!! he sent the amount offered NOT the full price. Instantly I refunded the money and end of story. All by PayPal.

Ok... but you wrote that the buyer sent it as business, so you pay around 3% of fee , if i remember correctly. When PayPal notified you that you got a payment, you can see that it was lower, due to the fee, and you can refund before shippment.
 
For next time.....

When I use PayPal and I want to be sure I can request my money back, let say if the shipment is lost, I arrange with the seller to add the fee to my payment. Only when the seller is someone that I feel comfortable. Let say you selling here in SOS. If I really know the seller I just pay Family/friend.

Now, you know how PayPal works. Unfortunately, you didn't refund the money before shipment.

I have purchased many times from other SOS sellers, mainly books and have no problem sending payments via PayPal (Friends and family),

The amount of postings from the seller act as EBay’s sellers feedback.

It would be nice if prospective buyers did the same and trust the seller by sending their payments via Family and Friends.

You just don't get it do you? I shipped it. Then the money was sent. I trusted it to be an honest transaction.

This places the risk entirely on the buyer, which is unreasonable. If you're unwilling to eat the fee, just add the 3% to your asking price. The buyer now gets buyer protection, and you get your asking price.

Paypal is better than a personal check or MO, unless you do not ship anything until you cash the check or MO. You never know if those checks aren't fake.

I have been using PayPal for the last 22 years and I try to pay all online using PayPal, also my FL taxes are paid using PayPal.

The unfortunate event here was that the seller believed on the buyer and shipped the kit before getting the money through PayPal.
