DOWNLOAD A FREE PDF BOOKLET
on the frigate la Renommée/Renown that contains most of the information found on the former website www.larenomméeship.com

I’ll be closing down my website by the end of the year. The free booklet contains the history, commanders, captures, and story of the fastest warship of the mid-1740s, la Renommée. It was captured in 1744 and renamed the British Renown, serving for 27 years. Also read an excerpt from The Ship’s Carpenter, a new historical novel featuring la Renommée’s exciting story. Go to my author’s website, https://stockmanbooks.com to download the free PDF booklet.

In the Planset Review of the La Renommee, I made already once the link to your page

It is a highly interesting summary of the vessel etc., so I can recommend it to everybody to make the download.

Another Question: You mentioned, that you will close your web-site at the end of year. Do you have a new project you are working on?

Uwek,
I am still working on my scratch-build of la Renommée and also on writing the next novel in my series Tween Sea & Shore. The first book, The Ship's Carpenter, features part of the story of la Renommée, is now published and available at bookstores. The next book will continue the story of the frigate and the characters who were in the first. So, I am quite busy.

@Recusant we would love to see your La Renommee build log. What do you think about showing her in the build progress?
Jim,
Once I start back up on building her I will certainly consider sharing. But for now, she sits half framed with a bit of dust on her until I finish my second book of the historical series. Too many projects, too little time!

Smooth sailing,
Dave

Hallo @Recusant
we wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Birthday-Cake

@Recusant, It seems I discovered this thread a bit late. Is it yet possible to acquire the download?
Sure, go to https://stockmanbooks/downloads.com Enjoy the read about the fastest frigate of its day. A fictionalized version of her history is also included in the Tween Ship and Shore Series of historical nautical novels if your inclined to read tall ship tales based on real scenarios.
