Friesland 1663 (Mamoli)

Yes, I've started a new project! I'm finishing a Dutch ship of the line called Friesland 1663, a model by Mamoli. An interesting bit of history (in Dutch) discussing the origins of the model can be found here, and translates as: "This package may be based on a model that was in the Monbijou Palace in Berlin. That model has been photographed, drawn and described in great detail in the book 'Der Holländische zweidecker von 1660/1670' by Heinrich Winter. There was a ship 'Friesland', also called Groot Frisia or Frisia. However, it was only built in 1665 at the admiralty yard in Harlingen.".
